The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed in regards to the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services stage created for intervention ordeals a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
